Children are scientists and builders, acrobats and artisans
who need active experiences within their community. Through
discovery and exploration, your child will experience summer
camp as it is meant to be.
Our teachers work collaboratively to develop a curriculum
focus for the summer. The individual classroom focus develops
further through the interests and needs of the children enrolled.
Our international focus is divided into five sub-units offering
our teachers numerous opportunities to adapt the curriculum
for any age group. Using our playgrounds and the surrounding
community as an extension of our Center, children discover
science and explore nature, creative art, and music, while
learning about the vast opportunities in the world around them.
Learning occurs in many settings. As a supplement to the
classroom, we use the community to further enrich the learning
experiences. These experiences include walking and vehicle
trips to local parks, libraries, zoos, or museums. There are
four essential keys when planning our excursions: The trip
must be developmentally appropriate, safe, have educational
value, and it must be fun!
We also bring in guests for our younger children. Visitors from
organizations such as petting zoos, local police and fire departments,
magicians, musicians, and puppeteers are welcome guests to the
Center. Our teachers are creative when planning activities for
all age groups.
One of the integral parts of our summer program is the opportunity
parents have to participate in their child’s summer experience.
From chaperoning field trips to enjoying family events, we value
and encourage our parent-teacher partnerships.
Help your child see the world as an invitation to learn and grow.
We think you’ll agree that it’s a great way for kids to spend
summer days with other kids their own age!
