Family Values Christian Kids Corner
This site has been selected by Apple Tree Learning Center because of the outstand job they do selecting appropriate for children and filtering out objectionable material. They provide links to a variety of sites such as Discovery Channel, NASA, SafeSurf, and Kidz Net. Your child may also search sites according to interests. Highly recommended!

The San Francisco Exploratorium
This is a great site for school-age children, particularly those inclined towards science.

Crayola
The Crayola.com official site has tons of cool pages to print and color. Print our your own personalized coloring book with your favorite pages. There are hundreds of activities for you and your child once you become a registered user.

A terrific search engine for lots of topics, including education and parenting.

Adolescence Directory On-line
Adolescence Directory On-Line (ADOL) is an electronic guide to information on adolescent issues. It is a service of the Center for Adolescent Studies at Indiana University. Educators, counselors, parents, researchers, health practitioners, and teens can use ADOL to find Web resources for these topics:

What's New, Conflict and Violence Resources, Mental Health Issues ADHD, Health Issues, Counselor Resources, and Teens Only.

Includes links to their other sites, Teacher Talk Forum, A site for teachers, parents and teens. Touted as "Earth's Largest Bookstore," this site may just well have everything you ever wanted in print form. Books for you and books for children and young adults. Amazon.Com offers one button secure online purchasing and advanced search engine and "suggestion engines."

Amazon.Com makes recommendations based on selections you make regarding you or your child's tastes. An especially fun search method allows you to look for books for your child based on whether the child is a baby or toddler, a budding poet a classic kid, a colorful character, a discerning kid, a fiction fan, a holiday-happy kid, a loyal reader, a teenager, an ambitious kid an animal lover,or an obsessed kid.

Online Parenting Course
Offered by Kansas State University, this course is for "real" college credit, if you like. The course is taught by Dr. Charles A. Smith, a parent educator with twenty-seven years of experience. He is the author of Promoting the Social Development of Young Children, From Wonder To Wisdom: Using Stories to Help Children Grow, and The Peaceful Classroom: 162 Easy Activities to Promote Compassion and Cooperation in Young Children. He is also the coauthor of the National Extension Parent Education Model and creator of such nationally-known extension programs as Responsive Discipline, ParentShare, I'm Positive: Growing Up With Self-esteem, Friends InDeed, and Once Upon a Mind.
